OUR HISTORY

The "Our History" project focuses on the connection between the world of typography and the history of architecture, highlighting their shared principles. The main element of this project is the transformation of traditional serif fonts into forms resembling ancient architecture, particularly classical columns, chosen as a symbol of the fusion of aesthetic and functional qualities. Both serifs and columns serve a similar role in their contexts—they provide stability, structure, and visual character.


The first poster was created on paper and then completed and transformed into a digital format using classic graphic techniques in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The inscription “NAŠE DĚJINY” combines typography with vector illustrations, emphasizing the central theme.

The second poster was created using Adobe Firefly, which transformed the original traditional poster into a 3D version. This achieved a realistic effect and brought a modern perspective to the concept, highlighting the current capabilities of artificial intelligence technology.


The project demonstrates how traditional graphic approaches can blend with modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence.

Proces přetvoření mého původního plakátu do realistické 3D podoby pomocí AI byl zajímavý, ale náročnější, než jsem čekala. Hledání správných promptů připomínalo skládání skládačky, kde některé dílky pořád neseděly – výsledek byl často nepoužitelný a vyžadoval další úpravy. AI si nevěděla rady s textem, písmena byla deformovaná nebo nahrazovaná nesmyslnými znaky, takže jsem musela využít Photoshop pro opravy a doladění detailů. Také jsem pomocí generativního rozšíření přizpůsobila formát pozadí pro finální podobu plakátu. AI mě překvapila svými možnostmi, ale současně mi ukázala své limity – zejména tam, kde bylo potřeba preciznosti. Práce s ní je hodně o trpělivosti a přizpůsobení, ale při správném přístupu dokáže být dobrým pomocníkem při rozšiřování tradičních designových technik. Vnímám ji spíše jako nástroj, který doplňuje kreativní proces, než jako něco, co by ho mohlo plně nahradit.
